Two plaited bun hair tutorials!
Heya! Firstly I hope you all had a great Easter, I definitely ate too much Kinder chocolate!
For my blog post today, I will be showing you how to do two simple plaited bun hairstyles, which can be worn at whichever occasion you like!
For my blog post today, I will be showing you how to do two simple plaited bun hairstyles, which can be worn at whichever occasion you like!
Upside-down dutch braid into a bun
Step 1] Flip your head upside down and grab a section at the nape of your neck
Step 2] Split it into 3 and start a normal dutch braid (ie braiding the side strands UNDER the middle), adding in sections to the outer strands of the plait.
Step 3] Once you have done three stitches (as you can see in the pictures), tie it off with an elastic, then bring all the hair up into a messy bun and secure with pins
Step 4] Pull out the bun, to give it a messy look and pancake the braid to give it a fuller look!
You can also do this style with a French plait, ie braiding the side strands OVER the middle but I think the Dutch plait stands out more!
Plaited 'rosette' style bun
Step 1] First, part your hair to a preferred side and section off some hair at the top
Step 2] Simply plait this section
Step 3] Then roughly make it into a bun, and pin in places; this doesn't have to be neat
Step 4] With the remaining hair, split it in half and make two plaits
Step 5] One at a time, bring the plaits up and around the bun previously made and pin to secure in place
I love both these hairstyles, and I enjoyed doing them on myself! This proves they are simple but effective!
