3 current fave lipsticks!

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog!
For my makeup blog post today, I will show you my 3 current fave lipsticks! I've been really enjoying wearing these pinky-nude-brown tones on my lips (great description there aha), but all 3 products have different formulations and that's why lately I've been enjoying switching between the three. I've mentioned one of these on my blog before (the Soap and Glory pinks collection lipstick), and I have a whole separate blog post on it so go check it out for more details! But other than that, here are the 3 lipsticks!

As I mentioned above, all three have different formulations and texture, meaning some are more long lasting than the others.

Lets start by talking about the formulations, lasting power & the textures

If we look at the first and third one in the picture (so the Soap and Glory one & the NYX liquid suede), they are both under the matte category but the Soap and Glory is fully matte, whereas the NYX liquid suede is a demi-matte. The difference shows especially in the lasting power and how drying the lipstick is; the Soap and Glory one stays for longer, even after meals, but you would need a good lip scrub before applying so as to avoid it sitting on cracked lips. In comparison, I prefer the NYX a little more especially because the formula was more liquidy (not runny or anything, just smooth ie easy application) and the applicator made it easier to contour the lips. I would say that 80% of it was still on my lips after eating, but it's fine to lightly re-applyin the centre of the lips without it looking "cakey". Now moving on to the second lipstick in the picture (from Prestige); I had never tried any Prestige products, and this was given to me as a gift so I thought I should try it out. I was pleasantly surprised because the formula was very creamy and easy to apply, though in turn this does mean that it needs to be re-applied, especially after a meal. It wasn't drying, and with a good lipliner, I'm sure it would last longer.

Coverage and colour pay-off

I would say that all three lipsticks have a great colour pay off (as you'll be able to see from the picture below of the swatches), and not many swipes of the product are required to fill in the lips. None of them bled around my lips, but I would recommend wearing a liner just in case you aren't  used to wearing these colours, especially the NYX one. As you might be able to see, the Prestige one looks sheerer in comparison to the other two, which comes with pros and cons in the sense that it's not drying but lasts for less time.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and seeing my current fave lipsticks and how they compare! Do give this a like and follow if you enjoyed!!

See you for the next one :)
