Summer hairstyles!

Hiya! As we are heading towards the summer season, hairstyles become softer, more beachy and loose plaits are the trend. Here are 3 hairstyles which I think are perfect for this time of year. Cross-over plaited half up-do

This is probably the easiest of the three, but still really pretty and "care-free". 

Step 1) Loosely curl the hair, spray with hairspray, scrunch up with your hands to give it more texture

Step 2) Take a section of hair by one ear, plait it, and pin in place straight across

Step 3) Do the same by the other ear and pin across the first plait and you're done! 

Dutch side braids 

I think Dutch braids are really appropriate for a summer look because many people like to have "Cornrow braids", so Dutch braids are a simple way to achieve a similar style at home!

Step 1) Curl your hair

Step 2) Part your hair to one preferred side

Step 3) On the side with less hair, use a comb to create a straight line which splits this section in half (ref to the pictures above)

Step 4) Simply dutch braid these two sections. With dutch braiding, you split the hair into 3 sections as usual, but you are braiding UNDER the middle strand. 

Wavy dutch half-up do

Step 1) Part your hair to one side (middle parting works too)

Step 2) Start a dutch braid on one side and stop adding in hair just after the ear, then just keep plaiting down a bit and tie off

Step 3) Do the same on the other side of the parting

Step 4) Combine all the hair into a ponytail, a couple of inches above the nape of the neck

Step 5) Take out the elastic bands from the ends of the plaits and curl the hair in the ponytail

Step 6) Once curled, take random strands, bring them up and over the ponytail to cover it and make it more voluminous, pin them in place!

And voila! I love these 3 hairstyles and I find them perfect for the summer!
